Welcome to XSAG website
XSAG stands for eXperimental Space & Aeronautics Group. Main tasks and goals of this group is to have fun, to launch spacecrafts, and to fly extreme flights/test new aircraft designs.
Currently major project is XS program (a hybrid SCRAMJET/RAMJET & rocket engine spacecraft). So far 7 successful flights have been conducted (3 suborbital flights, and 4 short orbital flights) with total of 500 minutes in space, and 5 circles around it. Okay, we were formed just recently so that is not much yet.
We also task ourselves with flying cool aircraft (right now we have B-1B and AN-225 in our fleet), and experimenting with new designs (we are recreating Buran orbiter from scratch, expected to have fully functional systems, working on own experimental designs, also there are plans to attempt X-43 SCRAMJET program).
We are strict about flights and craft usage - if there to be an accident, the craft will be declared crashed, and will never be reused again. In case there should occur an accident there will be time delay to build new craft (unless more than one available, you get the idea).
So far we did not have a single major accident.
We are working on establishing a data network to provide realtime telemetry feed, and a semi-live picture feed.
We are working on new spacecraft with very complex system logic.
There is online satellite monitoring & simulation system in developement, which also should allow rezenvous of two spacecraft over internet connection in realtime
